The Bowers XT Digital Thread Gauging Sets provide a fast, accurate and repeatable solution for measuring internal thread diameters in demanding manufacturing and inspection environments. Combining Bowers' bore-gauging expertise with advanced digital technology, the system enables operators to obtain an actual measurement rather than relying solely on traditional pass-or-fail hard gauges.
Each set combines a dedicated thread measuring head, a corresponding setting ring and a Bluetooth XT digital micrometer readout. The modular design allows compatible application heads to be fitted to the XT readout in seconds, helping users change between thread sizes and measuring applications quickly and efficiently.
Integrated Bluetooth connectivity allows measurements to be digitally recorded and transferred for inspection, traceability and quality-control purposes. The system supports effective or functional diameter, pitch diameter and major diameter measurement, depending on the selected application.
Unlike conventional hard gauges that must be screwed into and out of a component, Bowers thread gauging systems provide rapid dimensional feedback during thread production. This can help reduce repeat machining, identify process variation earlier and improve productivity.
The modular system can also reduce the number of separate hard gauges required for different manufacturing conditions, classes and pre- or post-treatment stages. Compatible heads are also available for specialist applications including grooves, splines, slots and deep-hole measurement.
