The Moore & Wright Traditional External Micrometer is a precision measuring instrument designed for accurate external measurement of components, workpieces and machined parts. Suitable for use in engineering workshops, manufacturing facilities, inspection departments and quality control environments, these micrometers provide dependable and repeatable measurement performance across a comprehensive range of metric and imperial sizes.
Manufactured with a rigid steel frame and finished with a durable enamel coating, the micrometer is designed to withstand daily use whilst maintaining measurement accuracy. The satin chrome barrel and thimble improve readability by reducing glare, making measurements easier to read in workshop and inspection environments.
Tungsten carbide measuring faces provide excellent wear resistance and long-term accuracy, whilst the speeder type ratchet applies a consistent measuring force to improve repeatability and minimise operator influence. Available in both standard and fine resolution models, the range offers solutions for both general workshop measurement and higher-precision inspection applications.
